For archive purposes (and because my delete key is broken) here are the old descriptions of this cam.
Update Summer/Fall 2006 : "They" are building a new building to the south side of my building. As of October 13th, we've lost our horizon, and soon this camera will be peering directly into someone's office space. Sorry. I'll try to point it to the southwest and update this page. :-( I liked my view.
This first view is looking south out of my 9th floor office. In this cam view, you are looking towards the Pentagon (in the lower land beyond the nearby tree line to the right of the building on the left) which is beyond Arlington Cemetery. Look for cars on US 50 in the lower right (the grass and cement line) I take this route to work about 1/2 the time. The 'dashes' sometimes visible on the left side of the picture are balconies of an apartment complex. There are airplanes often headed overhead into the picture to Washington Reagan AP beyond the trees to the right center. The Potomac River is flowing into the picture beyond the near tree line and that big apartment in the distance on the right middle of the picture (to the right of Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon). The buildings in the very distant right center are in Washington D.C. or simply "The District".
